Focus on high-quality water bottle for 15 years

What are the glass bottle materials?

When we are shopping in the supermarket, we can see a wide range of glass bottles, which are particularly bright in color and have a good texture. We can also see some colorless and transparent crystal glasses. What are the materials of the glass bottles?

1. Soda-lime glass

Glasses and bowls used in daily use are made of this material, which is characterized by small temperature difference due to sudden changes. For example, if boiling water is injected into a glass just taken out of the refrigerator, it is likely to burst. In addition, it is not recommended to put soda-lime glass products into microwave oven for heating, because there are also certain safety risks.

2. Tempered glass

Tempered glass is a reprocessing product of ordinary glass, and its cost is 10% higher than that of ordinary glass. Tempered glass is usually used as a wine cup. Tempered glass has poor heat resistance. When the ambient temperature changes dramatically, it is easy to crack the glass due to the presence of nickel sulfide, so tempered glass is not suitable for pouring boiling water.

3. Crystal glass

Generally used for making goblets. It is characterized by good refraction, good hand feeling, and a crisp and pleasant sound when tapped. There are two kinds of crystal glass, lead crystal glass and lead-free crystal glass. Lead crystal glass is not recommended for consumption, especially if you drink acidic drinks with a water cup. Lead may be dissolved in acidic liquid, and long-term consumption may cause lead poisoning.

4. High borosilicate glass

The high borosilicate glass cup is a high temperature and cold resistant glass water cup. Its heat resistance is very good, so it is usually used to make glass tea sets. A good glass teapot is made of high borosilicate glass. In addition, the high borosilicate glass has excellent light transmittance, uniform thickness and crisp sound.
