Food grade plastic should be chosen for plastic water bottles
In recent years, plastic cups are popular with many people because of their changeable shapes, bright colors and anti-falling characteristics. They are very suitable for outdoor users and office workers, but the problem of plastic cups is very common. In fact, plastics belong to macromolecule chemical materials. When hot water or boiling water is filled in plastic water bottle, macromolecule can easily precipitate and dissolve into water, which is harmful to human health after drinking. Moreover, the internal micro-structure of plastics has many holes, which hide dirt. Bacteria will grow if it is not cleaned properly. Therefore, the selection of plastic water bottle is very important for the selection of plastic materials, we must select food-grade plastics that meet the national standards.
Generally speaking, the bottom of the plastic water bottle has a sign, which is the number on the small triangle. Common is "05", the material representing the cup is PP (polypropylene). The bottle made of PP has good heat resistance. Its melting point is 170 ~172 C. Its chemical properties are stable. Besides being eroded by concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid, it is stable to other chemical reagents.
