What kind of plastic water cup is good for drinking？

At present, our common plastic materials include PC, PP, Tritan and PPSU. Now let’s know their respective characteristics.

1.PC material. PC plastic water cups are controversial. Since the discovery of bisphenol A in PC plastic water cups, the number of people who use this kind of plastic water cup has become less and less. Even many people have given up using plastic cups. In fact, bisphenol A is scary, but it can only be triggered under high temperature conditions. If you don’t use PC cups to hold hot water, you don’t have to worry about bisphenol A.

2.PP material. PP is polypropylene with a melting point of 167 ℃. It is currently a plastic product that can be put into microwave oven and can be reused after careful cleaning. The PP cup has good heat resistance and stable chemical properties. In addition to being eroded by concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid, it is stable to other chemical reagents.

At present, bisphenol A is only found in PC material, not in PP material. Of course, this does not mean how good the plastic water cup made of PP is, because relevant institutions have detected that the plastic water cup made of PP will release bisphenol S under high temperature, and its harm is similar to bisphenol A, but as long as it is not used under high temperature, there will be no problem.

3.Tritan material. The safer plastic cup material is Tritan material, which is the standard material for infants and young children in Europe and America. It does not contain bisphenol A and bisphenol S, nor does it contain any bisphenol substances. It can be said that it is the safe plastic material at present. Tritan is not only a safe material, does not contain bisphenol A, is pure and transparent, and has no odor, and is very easy to clean.

4.PPSU material. It does not contain bisphenol A, is light and resistant to falling, is slightly yellow in color, is not easy to produce chemical toxins, and can be heated by microwave. Although the material of PPSU is relatively safe, does not contain bisphenol A, and has strong drug resistance, the body of the milk bottle is brown and yellow, so it is difficult to see whether it has been washed or not. Once it is not cleaned, there will be food residues, and there will be unpleasant odor after use for a long time.
